The Eiffel Tower is more than a work of art, more than a monument; it's the symbol of Paris, the emblem of France recognized by the entire world. It stands as a show of strength, a technical feat, a message of power sent to the rest of the world. It embodies ambition, grandeur, extravagance, and the dream of reaching the heavens. It challenges us, invites us to think bigger. It reminds us that we are beings capable of constantly surpassing ourselves.

So, what could be more exhilarating, more majestic, than to be able to sit atop it, to immerse oneself in all its codes? To make this possible, the designer painstakingly replicated the structure of this iron giant to create an armchair made of steel, equipped with a comfortable orange leather seat.

It's an armchair that aims to capture the charm of sharp lines, the cold beauty of steel. It's a tribute to this magnificent structure, to the men who built it, to the man who made it possible: Gustave Eiffel.

Beyond his ambition, this creation also captures the designer’s affinity for steel. The son of a metalworker-locksmith, he grew up admiring his father breathing life into metal through various creations. In a more personal way, it's a tribute to his father as well as to all the metal artisans of the past and present.

What we offer you is not an iron throne, but a throne of steel, imbued with history, respect, dreams, and passion.

Initially approached to design something inspired by the Eiffel Tower for an ambitious project aimed at celebrating the centenary of Gustave Eiffel's passing in 2023, I was tasked with contributing to a vibrant homage to his genius. This project, intended to bring together a multitude of design and artistic creations to be auctioned off for a noble cause, was ultimately suspended. However, this unforeseen event did not diminish my determination to honor the icon that is the Eiffel Tower, which is why I wished to continue with the realization of this design, which I can present to you today.

Thus, I envisioned this design as a throne dedicated to Gustave Eiffel himself, a piece of movable artwork that one could own this time. I chose leather for the seating because of its elegant and timeless texture, reminiscent of the sleekness of the steel that forms the chair's framework. Made from steel tubes 2mm thick, this throne is designed to remain stable and unshakeable, mirroring the Eiffel Tower's unwavering and majestic stature. Given its significant weight and dimensions, it was designed in easily separable modules, simplifying its transport and installation.
